NG is now gonna be my home base, y'all

Posted by Odrikah - December 25th, 2018

Yup, gonna be seeing a lot more of me now.

Before, DeviantART was my main squeeze, and I will still be active on there on the forums and such to participate in commssions, but I found out about some shady policies DA has relating to them being able to sell any art you put on there without your permission and, simply put, I like NG better anyway, so I'm here now. Art, blogs, any animations I ever make, you name it, will all be here, and this will probably be the best place to get ahold of me.

Note: I'll also be putting my stuff up on Tumblr and Twitter, but tbh after porn got banned Tumblr is probably gonna die and Twitter is just like a necessity now.

IN OTHER NEWS, working on a webcomic involving an immortal undead Lich with a love of comedy. I'm trying to look at different options for hosting it rn, may do webtoons or something or give it its own website, but I will def link back to here once I get it going and will probably pin a journal with that link in it to the top of my page (Can I even do that here?) so it's always visible.

Peace! ✌

Pinned entries aren't a thing yet, but hopefully they will be. I know it's been brought up before... you can always link it in the links, at least. ;) And that COMISSIONS link seems handy for a lot of other things too hmm...

Anyway good have you back here! :D Welcome back! Sounds like good plans too!

I thought they could use your work to promote the site but they needed your permission to sell it (prints). Considering how many professional artists post Copyrighted commissions that belong to companies, they would be sued if they sold art without the artist's permission.

They technically do need your permission, but you give it to them every time you 'read' (nobody reads it) and sign the terms of use. It's buried in the bottom and barely referenced, look it up. I may have misundertood it, I found out about it through a facebook post (Reeeaaallll reliable, /s). Even if it isn't the case, tbh I enjoy Newgrounds much more anyway.
